The Mews at Cary Mill

The Mews at Cary Mill, located on West Cary between Carytown and VCU, was an award winning project for Sensei Development and Monument Construction.  This condo project consists of 13 units. Seven of the units are an historic rehabilitation of a lumber mill from 1900.  The remaining six contemporary units, which are pictured above, are new construction.  This project was awarded GRACRE’s “2009 Best Multi-Family Project”, and ACORNS award for “2009 Infill Project of the Year”.

The Lofts at One Eleven

Sharing a courtyard with the famous “Mr. Peanut”, the Lofts at One Eleven are a recent historic rehab project in Downtown Suffolk. Formerly the Damiani Building, The Lofts is now 27 apartments.

They each have unique floor plans in order to maintain the historic architecture and character of the building. There is approximately 1600 square feet of commercial space on the ground level, a majority of which is home to Suffolk’s newest wine and cheese shop –C3 Vino.

Butterworth Lofts

Butterworth Lofts, located in downtown Hopewell, was once upon a time The Larkin Hotel and more recently Butterworth Furniture. It is now a shining example of historic renovation. Each apartment boasts some unique design feature reminding you of the bulding’s storied past. Butterworth Lofts hopes to be a catalyst in Downtown Hopewell’s revitalization.

Tracks at Shockoe Crossing

Just steps away from Richmond’s famous “triple crossing”; the Tracks at Shockoe Crossing combines the best of both Shockoe Slip and Shockoe Bottom. Cobblestone Commons

Located in the heart of Shockoe Slip, Cobblestone Commons was once home to the Davenport Company and Jordan’s Old Virginia Smokehouse. The building was partially burned down in the Evacuation Fire of 1865 and rebuilt. The renovation preserved some very unique elements that are incorporated in the apartments including exposed brick and steel fire doors.

Bobber Flats at Shockoe Valley Heights

Bobber Flats was the first phase of the Shockoe Valley Heights project. It was originally the Ideal Fish and Float Factory which produced – you guessed it – bobbers. Developed using state and federal historic tax credits, Bobber Flats’ 41 units maintain the architectural and historic integrity of an era long gone, while offering it’s residents all of the creature comforts of today.

Richmond’s second oldest firehouse built in 1899 is now home to one of Shockoe Bottom’s most sought after addresses. Old Stone Row at Shockoe Valley Heights

Old Stone Row is the largest phase of the Shockoe Valley Heights project with 96 units. Old Stone was carefully designed in the shape of a horse shoe to preserve the site that was previously Virginia’s oldest Hebrew cemetary. Each of the units has a balcony with unique views of Richmond’s skyline and neighboring historic sites.

Trolley Commons at Shockoe Valley Heights

Trolley Commons is the fourth and final phase of Shockoe Valley Heights. Construction was completed in Summer of 2012. Trolley Commons has a mix of one and two bedroom units and penthouses with incredible views of the city’s skyline and the James River. All units have a balcony or terrace. The bottom level contains over 4500 square feet of commercial space with an upscale salon and a market; both are scheduled to be opened for business in the Spring of 2013.
